I have been doing a bunch of thinking about what @Beloch Shrike 's post at "A Place for Games" forum:

https://www.troikarpg.com/forum/general/on-the-post-g-social-conundrum

I got a chance to really think again on the fediverse platforms out there.

I think I am really wondering about #plume or #zot (the big gun!) as a space needed.

https://www.troikarpg.com/forum/main/comment/5dc72cf4cd6a8500174b28c4

It would need a good collective of people.

Also, I will say whatever software the forum is based on is kinda G+ ish.

I tend not to be super opinionated generally. I really like encouraging #rpg things as much as I can without negativity. However, I will say today that I couldn't give two shits about #feastoflegends or anything related to #wotc based RPGs.

I want to hear about #ogl #rpg self published creativity. People that do it because they love it and care for it (and, yes, for me tending to skew #OSR but I am open)! I want to hear about things that real people are doing, not corporate advertising and marketshare gathering.

Divest from the big corporate gateways and look, discuss, contribute, support and pass it on!

I really can't say the above much better than what the pages above say. They are much better writers than I.

I only realized something about multi-dice probability bell curves recently … (if you’re a maths-wiz, click away now as the following will probably only offend your sensibilities!).

For a while I’ve been interested in the idea of drawing things using 10 lines (or fewer), while still hopefully capturing the essence of the thing …

I rolled some dice, consulted MMI and ‘Axe Beak’ came up. In truth an arch-devil came up first, but I had already decided to skip dinos and devils.

**The Gambler **

The Gambler is a person ruled by fates, omens and fortunes. They perceive everything through the lens of luck and chance. For a Gambler, everything happens for a reason. For a Gambler Luck: is as real as a baked potato; is cat-fickle and has a mood; is flattered by rituals and appeased by signs; is consistently unpredictable; is offended and implacable; is passionately for or against you; is never fair; is dangerous to define; is like your best friend’s lover.

As some of you have read earlier I am hosting the OSRIC wiki pages:

https://pluspora.com/posts/de0f60306cf001376ae1005056264835

I said that work would continue there along with other goodies to add. I am excited and happy to announce that (with kind permission from the main author) we are ready to open up the wiki space of Kellri's (https://kellri.blogspot.com/) Dangerous Dungeons project!

I am listing it in the main index of the site:

...but here is the direct index page of the project:

Another brief blurb on this since I have made a better "index" page/front door/whatever...

In light of a question I posed:

https://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=81741

…and with the help and encouragement of the #OSRIC community, I am happy to announce the opening of the OSRIC wiki.

https://osricwiki.presgas.name/doku.php?id=osric:index

There is still some work that needs to be done, but the actual reference data is all there for your gaming usage. The editors of the wiki also hope to add some other goodies. Stay tuned!

As I’m trying to read Silent Titans every now and then, I sigh as I realize that my brain is probably too puny and my imagination too boring for this. Feeling overwhelmed and unsure whether I can make use of this at the table.
What #OSR #PRG product have you actually used and liked using at the table? Even Stonehell has a lot of text for my taste. I guess Castle of the Mad Arch Mage worked pretty well more than fifty sessions.
I am reminded of advice I recently gave somebody, regarding adventures for newbies:

That’s because I think finding a scenario and preparing a scenario takes time in which y... Show more...

These last few days I've been writing stuff for a hidden fortress of elves (drow, if you want) up in the mountains.

To illustrate how this would work, let me give you some examples.

The companions of the netherworld elves subtable basically has only two entries:
